fill them in, and mail them with your submission as directed.

PRINTMAKING TODAY
Contemporary Review of Fine Art Printmaking

18-24th July 2008

Dedalo invites artists working in all printmaking media from around the world to participate in "Printmaking Today", an international print exhibition and competition of Fine Art Printmaking which will be held in Italy.
This event is patronized by the Abruzzo Region, the municipality of Castiglione and the province of Pescara. The first prize is a solo show in Italy and a custom-made website with domain name (www.yourname.com) including webhosting for one year.

RULES
This show is open to all artists and there is no entry fee
"Printmaking Today" is to be considered a celebration of printmaking, therefore any traditional or contemporary printmaking media is allowed (including artists' books). There are no specific guidelines or restrictions for being included in the show, but curators will exclude works from the show if considered inappropriate.
All works received will be in the show which will be hosted in Abruzzo, Italy in Dedalo Center for Contemporary Art, and in the castle of Castiglione, in the Museum of Castiglione which is housed in a medieval fort/castle in Abruzzo, from July 18th to July 24th 2008. Additionally, all works submitted will be visible online for one year on www.centrodedalo.it with artists' contact information.
A selected jury will evaluate all works received and will assign an award (a solo show and internet website)
based on quality of image, concept and inventiveness.

Each artist must submit a minimum of two (2) and no more than ten (10) prints. Two copies of a single print or single copies of different works may be submitted up to a total of ten. The submissions will be divided with half hung at the Dedalo Art Center and the other half in the Museum.
Prints submitted must be signed and numbered.
All works must be received on or before June 30th 2008 with an artist statement and contact information.
Please mail entries early to ensure arrival by deadline.
To express your interest in participating in this exhibition, please email us your details (name and number of prints to submit with dimensions). This will help us with the organization as well as order enough frames ahead of time.
All works sent are to be considered a donation of the participating artists to Dedalo and the museum archives for the Castle of Castiglione. All artists will receive a statement indicating where their print is stored (Dedalo or museum). Prints will not be for sale. However in case of interest, we will put in touch the artist directly with the potential buyer.
Participating artists may not ask for any form of compensation or return of works.
All works must be sent with an application form and brief cv or artist statement to:
